Executive Council

President: Pratik Shah Pratik

Pratik Shah is a Junior in the School of Arts and Sciences Honors Program, with a major in Cognitive Neuroscience and minors in Business Administration, Spanish, and Music. This is his third year on the Glee Club Executive Council, and he is proud to serve as the President and ensure that the yearly operations of the Glee Club run smoothly. He is also a member of RAAG (Rutgers Asian A Cappella Group). Aside from pursuing his passion of music, he loves to travel to different states and countries and immerse himself into different cultures. He is excited to travel to Minneapolis with the Rutgers University Glee Club in March 2017, and later to Estonia, Finland, and Sweden in May 2018 for the Glee Club 2018 International Tour

PatrickBusiness Manager: Patrick Phillips

Patrick Phillips is a sophomore in Mason Gross School of the Arts majoring in Classical Piano Performance and Choral Music Education. He is highly active as a musician and as a student leader at Rutgers and in the professional world. In addition to being the Business Manager of the Rutgers University Glee Club, he is currently the resident music intern at the Paper Mill Playhouse.

KyleTreasurer: Kyle O'Brien

Kyle O’Brien (Treasurer) is a junior and a Mathematics major in the School of Arts and Sciences. He graduated from Pequannock Township High School in 2014. He plans on applying to the Rutgers Graduate School of Education in the Spring 2017 Semester, in the hopes of becoming a high school math teacher and eventually a curriculum writing. Kyle had never been in a choir prior to his time at Rutgers, however he was a devoted member of his high school’s marching band, as well as multiple theatre companies, including Aspire Performing Arts Company. Kyle is in debt to his Brothers in Song for giving him so many incredible memories, and he looks forward to many more in the future.

ChrisVice-Pesident of Alumni Relations: Christopher Wolfe

Christopher Wolfe was born in New Jersey and raised in East Brunswick for a majority of his life. Taking a break from assorted athletics to audition for his high school's spring musical his sophomore year, Chris fell in love with the performing arts, and continued to participate in theatrics for the remainder of his high school career. He joined the East Brunswick Concert Choir his senior year, where he performed in Carnegie Hall and the United States Capitol Building under the direction of Jennifer Sengin. Upon entering Rutgers University, Chris sought to continue his singing exploits, and with a stroke of luck he found the Rutgers University Glee Club. He believes that the Glee Club has been extremely influential and formative concerning his growth as a professional individual. Chris is humbled by the opportunities that the Glee Club has presented him and he looks forward to performing with them for the remainder of his time at Rutgers. Chris is an English Major with a focus in Creative Writing and hopes to pursue his Master's in Education through the Graduate School of Education's five year Master's program.

Vice-President of Special Organizational Affaris: Patrick VanBernum

Patrick VanBernum is a third year student studying Urban Planning and Design at the Edward J. Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy, with a minor in Leadership Skills. While being an active member of the Glee Club, Patrick also enjoys playing sports with his friends and meeting new people at different social events. As head of recruitment and retention for the Glee Club, he got to see first hand the newest members of the group and he remembers it fondly. Being a first year senior officer, Patrick hopes to create a culture of driven young individuals who all want whats best for the group. He hopes to pave a path for young members in the group to take over leadership roles eventually and, as long as he is a member, will never stop trying to make the club better.

Junior Officers

Executive Secretary & Music Manager: Joseph Haverlock

Joseph Haverlock is a sophomore majoring in Biological Sciences and Public Health. Besides singing Bass II in Glee Club, he is also involved in other performance ensembles on campus including the Kirkpatrick Choir, Deep Treble, and Livingston Theatre Company. In addition to performing, Joseph is also a member of ODASIS, an organization that seeks to promote the success of underrepresented students interested in pursuing careers in STEM fields. As Executive Secretary and Music Manager of Glee Club, he is committed to helping the ensemble function at its highest level.

Historian: Max Ohring

Max Ohring is a junior studying Journalism & Media Studies in the School of Communication and Information, with a minor in Music. As Historian, Max is responsible for keeping the Glee Club archives up-to-date and maintaining all artifacts in McKinney Hall. Other than singing Bass 2 in Glee Club, Max is a proud brother of the Phi Sigma Kappa fraternity, where he currently holds the position of RU4Kids Liaison.

Public Relations Manager: Larry Fried

Larry Fried is a sophomore pursuing a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Digital Filmmaking at Mason Gross School of the Arts (MGSA). Outside of being the Public Relations Manager for RUGC, he is also a Student Ambassador for the MGSA Admissions Office, and the Secretary of the Mason Gross Student Governing Association. As PR Manager, Larry hopes to use his passion for filmmaking and web content creation to implement more video marketing on all social media platforms. In his free time, Larry enjoys writing, graphic design, theatre, hanging out with friends, and of course, watching movies.

Performance Manager: Thomas Young

Thomas Young is getting his masters in Landscape Architecture and graduates in the spring. He has been a baritone in the Rutgers University Glee Club since 2010, when he started his undergraduate education in Biological Sciences and Music. Extracurricularly, Thomas works with his theatre company reThink Theatrical that he co-founded with his friend, Stephanie. The company seeks to promote accessible theatre by means of a zero-dollar budget and explores various new theatrical media, including environmental spaces. Thomas hopes to continue to organize the group’s aesthetic to become professional in their performance both at home and on the road.

Uniform Manager: Axel Gonzalez

Axel Gonzalez is a sophomore in the School of Environmental and Biological Sciences studying Environmental Business and Economics. Outside of Glee Club, Axel holds a retail position as a part-time stylist where he enjoys working with clients and building relationships. Axel is also works alongside entrepreneurs who run independent businesses to gain experience and explore business opportunities. As uniform manager for the Rutgers University Glee Club, Axel aims to give back to the organization by ensuring that the group’s attire and appearance matches its iconic sound and professionalism.

Technology Coordinator: Ryan Morey

Ryan is a junior studying Mechanical Engineering and Computer Science. Ryan's interests besides singing include vexilology, cats, and talking about himself in the third person. Ryan is an active member of the Effective Altruism movement and a passionate animal rights advocate and vegan. At Rutgers, Ryan is involved in student theatre at Cabaret Theatre and is co-founder and co-president of Rutgers Effective Altruism.
