Executive Council

President: Joseph Negro Joey

Joseph C. Negro is a Senior studying Environment Policy, Institution, & Behavior as well as Sustainability & Geological Sciences here at Rutgers, New Brunswick. As well as serving as an Officer for the RUGC, Joseph also represents his department on the School of Environmental & Biological Sciences Student Government & on the University Student Senate. Joey is most known for his 3 years at the position of Running Back on the Soup Bowl Team. Outside of Rutgers, Joseph is an Eagle Scout, an advocate for Scouting, an avid adventurer, and loves long walks on the beach.

BillyBusiness Manager: Billy Colletto

William Colletto III (Billy) is sophomore pursuing a major in Public Policy from the Edward J. Bloustein School of Planning and a Sociology minor from the School of Arts and Sciences. Having done marching band and Choir throughout high school, he knew he wanted to continue to perform. Being in the Glee Club has been of monumental importance to his first year at Rutgers. He hopes to give back to the organization by giving present and future members a smoothly run year. Billy is proud to be serving as this year’s business manager and proud to be a member.

GeneTreasurer: Gene Masso

Gene Masso is a rising sophomore in the Rutgers University School of Arts and Sciences majoring in astrophysics and computer science. As Glee Club's treasurer for the upcoming academic year, Gene hopes to ensure that Glee Club operates as smoothly as ever financially. He is excited to see what the future holds for all his Brothers in Song and and what our hard work and dedication will yield.

DanVice-Pesident of Alumni Relations: Dan Robertson

Dan Robertson is currently a senior in the School of Arts and Sciences majoring in Theater Arts BA and minoring in Entrepreneurship. Dan currently works for the university as a Scarlet Ambassador and is involved on campus with the Livingston Theatre Company and Cabaret Theatre. Dan is responsible for reaching out to our extensive list of dedicated alumni and finding ways to involve them in the several events we have planned throughout the year. Along with this position, Dan also holds the title of "El Supremo", the social head of the organization who upholds the rich spirit and tradition of the group that has been passed down from generation to generation. During his time in Club he has gone to Michigan, Pittsburgh, Wellesley, Washington D.C., Minneapolis, and Sweden, Finland, and Estonia on our 2018 European Tour. Club has been such an integral part of his college career and he will always hold these fond memories close to his heart. There is nothing like the sound of this group, especially under the elms of Old Queens around the cannon.

JasonVice-President of Special Organizational Affairs: Jason Rosen

Jason Rosen is a senior studying genetics, currently in his fourth year singing with the Rutgers University Glee Club. As Vice President of Special Organization Affairs, Jason is in charge of recruitment, retention, and overall Club morale. He hopes he can make a large impact on the new members this year and show them what Glee Club is all about. Jason has some fun things in store for this year's membership, but away from club, he can be spotted on campus skating to class or eating at Brower Commons. He believes this year is going to be a blast and is excited to be singing with his brothers in song.

Junior Officers

JoshExecutive Secretary: Joshua Gonzalez

Joshua A. Gonzalez, from Parsippany, NJ, is a sophomore Music Education/Voice student at Mason Gross School of the Arts. He sings in the Tenor 1 section with RUGC and also sings with the Kirkpatrick Choir. Josh, who is an aspiring choral conductor, hopes to make a lasting impact on the greater choral community, specifically with his passion for Jewish choral music. He additionally plays piano, and enjoys composing and arranging music. After kicking off his career in the Glee Club with a very successful tour in Europe this past year, he looks forward to all the great memories and performances he will share in the future with club. Outside of his love for music, Josh likes to play golf, follow his favorite sports teams, and play card games with family and friends (including Mao!). Josh is very excited for another fantastic year with his Brothers in Song, and is very proud to be a member!

ZachMusic Manager: Zach Wang

Zach Wang, from Alloway, New Jersey, is a sophomore at Rutgers and studies Music Education, Voice in Mason Gross School of the Arts. This year, aside from singing in the Tenor I section, he will be working as Music Manager for the Rutgers University Glee Club. Outside of singing, Zach likes to read, hike, play guitar, and pet his dog, Zoe. Coming back from tour, he is looking forward to working with this year’s council as well as another great year as a member in the Glee Club!

MattHistorian: Matthew Binder

Matthew Binder is a junior in the School of Engineering, pursuing a major in mechanical engineering and a minor in marine science. He is a current employee of the Rutgers University Emergency Services and an active member of the Saddle Brook Volunteer Fire Department and the East Franklin Fire Department. In his spare time, Matt enjoys listening to music, especially country. He is also an avid outdoorsmen and a diehard fan of the New York Mets. Matt will be serving as the Historian of the Rutgers University Glee Club this year and is proud to be a member.

MattPublic Relations Manager: Matt Lacognata

Matt Lacognata, from Glen Rock, New Jersey, is a sophomore majoring in Art History, Visual Arts, and minoring in psychology at the Rutgers University School of Arts and Sciences. This year, Matt is excited to be serving as the Public Relations Manager for the Rutgers University Glee Club. As such, he will be in charge of all external announcements regarding the Glee Club, including running the social media pages. He encourages visitors to keep up to date with our Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter for important updates and information. Matt is super excited to be working on council to make sure this upcoming year will be more amazing than the last.

FrancescoPerformance Manager: Francesco Barfoed

Francesco Barfoed is the Rutgers University Glee Club performance manager for this year. Hailing from Denmark, Francesco is majoring in piano performance at Mason Gross in addition to being a professional pianist who often performs both in the US and in Europe. Francesco will be helping the Glee Club look good on stage so that we always appear as the professional male choir we hold ourselves to be. He will also be helping arrange tours and trips that we will be taking during the year.

RossUniform Manager: Ross Ferguson

Ross Ferguson is the Glee Club’s Uniform Manager for this academic year. He is a junior, and it will be his second year in the Glee Club. He is excited to bring his work ethic and ideas to the table. He is excited to create great experiences for the members of Glee Club, as the members of Glee Club have done for him.



SeanInformation Technology Coordinator: Sean Kearns

Sean Kearns is a School of Engineering junior majoring in Electrical and Computer Engineering (and the guy who posted everything you're reading on this officer page!). This is his second year in the Glee Club, and first as an officer. Away from school, Sean works on campus at the Office of Information Technology, and enjoys performing sketch comedy. As Technology Coordinator for this year, Sean hopes to maintain the Club website as a convenient information hub for members, alumni, and guests alike, and produce recordings reflective of the Glee Club's unique sound.
